Description:Dendritic cells (DCs) are a class of bone-marrow derived leukocytes with phagocytic and antigen presentation capability. They are considered as the bridge between innate and adaptive immune system where they capture, transport, process and present antigenic products to T cells in the lymph node. Dendritic cells can not only secret cytokines and growth factors to induce immune responses, but also induce tolerance to self-antigens. Monocyte-derived dendritic cells (mo-DCs) DC, which arise from CD34+ hematopoietic precursor, are a unique subpopulation of DC found at site of inflammatory. In vitro derived DCs from monocytes possess the characteristics of immature DCs and have been extensively used in immunological research, especially in cancer therapy.;
